Karl Cunningham

After watch both the Shark Tank and The Profit I have concluded that Marcus Lemonis would be a better investor for my company. Hypothetically if I had my own business it would be had headphone company that allows the customer to sleep while listening to music comfortably. The reason why I would pick Marcus Lemonis rather than one of the sharks is because Marcus Lemonis is more hands. Based on how both shows represents themselves it seems that the sharks are more of a connection that has connections. On the other Marcus seems to be more hands on with the companies that he invests in. I feel that Marcus actually see to it that the company thrives, whereas the sharks just invest because they believe they can make a great profit.

Oscar Camacho

My name is Oscar Camacho and my business is Atlas Construction, a concrete company wanting to rebuild communities for a lower price. I aim to mainly do business with middle class consumers but still am open to do large projects with multi million dollar organizations. After analysing both tv shows, I feel that Marcus Lemonis is the best partner to have along with my company. Lemonis is with you at your business almost every day for a few weeks and points out all of the characteristics wrong with your business down to the smallest details that include the furnishing of an office. Also, because Lemonis is not competing with other investors to be your partner, he has less leverage to use when it comes to negotiating how much entity of the company he can fight for.

The main difference from Lemonis and Shark Tank is that Lemonis is a more hands-on partner who looks at each individual business and sees exactly what is needed for that business to strive. He knows people that will help renovate, market and build your business to a grand scale. Also, Lemonis is able to see if a partnership or business relation with other people/companies is either benefiting or poisoning your potential to grow. He understands when and how to cut people off which to some, including me, might find difficult. Although the “Sharks” have these qualities as well, I can't help but feel that there’s less of direct communication between me and the sharks rather than Marcus who is there almost every day with you.
